Phoned two days before a long weekend. Plumber said he can't come out that day, only late the next day. This was prior to a long weekend. I confirmed the meeting and didn't look for another option. Only after contacting the plumber at 13h30 the next day did he say he can't come out due to an emergency. Even if it was an emergency I would have expected him to alert me as soon as he became aware. Seeing it was his mistake I would have expected him to offer an alternative arrangement. His offer was to come the next Tuesday. That is a week after our first conversation. Not professional.
